Change Text Case

What is a change text tool?

This tool changes the text case of any word or sentence.

  • Sentence case
  • Lower Case
  • Upper Case
  • Capitalized Case
  • Alternating Case

How do you change the text of any word?

  • Paste your words in the box
  • Click on the desired Case button

What is an alternating case?

An alternating case is when a piece of writing is done with all capitals or lowercase. We know that this is done because we see it. We can tell the difference between an all-capital and all-lowercase text. When writing is done with all caps, it appears as an alternate form, like the one above. An all-lowercase text would look like this: tHe qUiCk bRoWn fOx jUmPs oVeR ThE LaZy dOg.

Is there a unique name for the letters of the alphabet?

We don't often talk about them as a group. There are, however, some names that are used when referring to the alphabet. The alphabet consists of 26 letters. The first letter is called Alpha, followed by Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Theta, Iota, Kappa, Lambda, Mu, Nu, Xi, Omicron, Pi, Rho, Sigma, Tau, Upsilon, Phi, Chi, Psi, Omega.

What are capitalizing and title cases?

When we capitalize a word, we tell the reader we want them to read the text like we do. It is a term used in English, meaning every letter should be in all upper case. This may be the case for proper nouns or names, but it also means the first letter of each sentence. Capitalizing a sentence gives it a formal or official appearance.

What is a title case?

The title case is when a written text is all in one case, like this: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Title case refers to the type of case a word is given. We have seen this in our everyday lives. We look at a book or a magazine and see that each sentence begins with an initial capital letter or the first letter of each word.

What are uppercase and lowercase?

Upper-case and lowercase. The upper case refers to capital letters. For example, in this sentence, the words in uppercase represent the nouns (plural) in the sentence, "the letter A."

Lowercase represents the nouns in sentences, for example, "a," "the," and "the cat."

Does Uppercase mean that a word is not lowercase?

Yes, it does. You can use uppercase only for nouns. If you have a noun that starts with an uppercase letter, you must put it in lowercase.

How do you spell a capital city?

How do you spell a capital city? You follow the capitalization rules. Here are some examples of spelling a city's name correctly: New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas, Denver, etc.

How do you write a lowercase letter in a word?

The rule of punctuation applies to lowercase letters. You always capitalize or end the word. To write the letter and in a word, you add an apostrophe.

When to write in lowercase letters and when to capitalize them.

It is also permissible to use a lowercase letter to stand for a word (like how we use a, an, and to stand for the words they represent). But in that case, you have to capitalize the letter as well. For example:

A dog, a cat, and a mouse.

Capitalize the letter a when it stands for the word 'a' (one), but not when it stands for the word 'and.'

What does a colon (:) do?

What does a colon (:) do? The colon is a special symbol in a written text. Its purpose is to separate a pair of words. The first word is the sentence's subject, while the second is the object.

Why do people use a colon?

They use the colon because the object is usually a direct quote or because the subject needs to be modified. For example:

The boss said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of it."

We are often confronted with using "we" or "I." This makes it hard to tell who the subject of the sentence is. A colon lets the reader or listener know whether "we" or "I" is the subject.

Where do you use a colon?

A colon is used in the following situations:

In a list of objects

To connect two complete thoughts.

To clarify or emphasize the main idea, compare two or more things.

To introduce a parenthetical statement.

To identify a person mentioned earlier in the sentence.

Title: How do you punctuate a quotation?

How do you punctuate a quotation? First, put quotes around the quotation. Second, it should be punctuated like any other quoted material. Third, add commas to the ends of the sentences.

For example:

"I am going to work out."

"I am going to work out," she said.

"She said,
